Melanie began practicing law in 1991 with the firm of Bolen, Fransen & Sawyers. In 1994, Melanie left Bolen, Fransen & Sawyers to work for the Law Office of Gary W. Sawyers, which subsequently became Sawyers & Aldridge, LLP. In 2003, Melanie opened the Law Office of Melanie J. Aldridge. During Melanie’s career she has focused on business and real estate transactions with a focus on water and farming clients.

Melanie added estate planning to her practice when she recognized a need for plain English explanations of the purpose of estate planning and probate avoidance and common structures used to reduce estate taxes.

Siri is a rescue dog from Madera County. She was found wandering along Hwy 99 and adopted from the Madera County Animal Shelter a few months later. Although her legal background is unclear, Siri was a natural fit for the office and is a frequent visitor to the office.
